I'm so excited for this fresh new year of SFQ teaching, learning, sharing and heart opening opportunities! I'm grateful for my blessings, including all of you who share your smiles, hearts and healing in our SFQ circles. I'd like to share some energy tips through an inspirational story that Master Lin often shares during his workshops.
One of Master Lin's students (a nurse) has a client who had gone to a Buddhist temple to pray for healing. At the end of his prayer a monk appeared and asked the man what was wrong. The man shared that he had stage 4 cancer. The monk told him: "Well, be happy and go home do this. Clap your hands and stomp your feet as often as you can."
The man went home and tried to be happy every day and spent 2-3 hours daily following the monks instructions. The tumour vanished within a few months and the man thought this was miracle! Master Lin explains how this exercise helped to heal on both the emotional and physical levels.
“When you clap your hands and when you exercise your feet, you help to activate the energy channels, and you’re happy. Then the energy can flow so nicely through your entire system. When a person is diagnosed with cancer, not only one meridian is blocked, but a lot of meridians already have energy blockages. Exercise this way, get your channels open, and you are on your way to longevity, for the true happiness in your life.”
So simple! Smile, clap your hands and move your feet. The benefits of this exercise are too numerous to share here*, but briefly: A smile releases healing endorphins; clapping your hands will open your heart channel, activating the yang (fire) healing energy; stomping your feet will activate your kidney and liver system helping you to ground and balance your energy as well as detox your body.
In addition I'd like to remind you that during the winter months our kidneys are vulnerable to the cold and our vitality can be easily depleted. Remember to keep your kidneys warm, cup & massage your kidneys, tap your tailbone and massage the "bubbling spring" point on the bottom of your feet and kidney points on outsides your ankle (photos below).
After the previous month of giving, I invite you to give the gift of love to yourself. Spend a few minutes each day nurturing your body while thanking it for its unconditional love and support. I hope to see your smiling face in a class soon! I welcome your questions and comments <3.
Qi-joy and abundant blessings, Yvette
“You yourself, as much as anybody in the entire Universe, deserve your love and affection.”
